Project Estimator / Quantity Surveyor Opportunity for Growth with Leading BC Window Manufacturer We are a rapidly expanding window manufacturer based in Burnaby British Columbia, seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our company’s ongoing success and growth within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and comprehensive project estimates, including material takeoffs, labor costs, and subcontractor bids. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to ensure compliance with relevant building codes and industry standards. Collaborate with clients, architects, building envelope consultants, and internal teams to clarify project requirements and address any potential issues. Manage project costs throughout the construction process, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including change orders, invoices, and payment schedules.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project estimation and quantity surveying, preferably in the window or construction industry. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant building codes and bylaws, including the BC Building Code and the Vancouver Building Bylaw.
Demonstrated proficiency in Division 08 window technical specifications, such as NAFS, A440, and BCs Step Code energy requirements.. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD and relevant construction software. Benefits:
