Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada – Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 per year.

Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC design is required.

• Develop and maintain Mechanical 2D drawing sets in AutoCAD, including all fixtures, rough‑in, in‑slab water lines, plumbing, drainage, hydronics piping, and hangers for field installation.
• Review drainage/venting, domestic water, hydronic, and mechanical room schematics and floor plans, along with other building design disciplines’ drawings (architectural, structural, electrical, interior design).
• Work with Field Managers and Directors to provide coordinated, constructible layout drawings and/or spool maps to site crews.
• Review construction documents, product literature, specifications, and cut sheets for mechanical equipment, fixtures, and plumbing elements.
• Participate in coordination and project‑related meetings.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, site personnel, and other professionals.

• At least 2 years of recent work experience in mechanical systems (plumbing & HVAC).

• Experience designing mechanical building systems (HVAC and plumbing).
• Experience in 2D drafting using AutoCAD;
  Revit skills are also considered an asset.
• Capable of reading and understanding construction documents (drawings, specifications, schematics, and shop drawings).
• Able to identify conflicts with other MEP trades and present well‑thought‑out and cost‑effective solutions.
• Familiar with applicable local codes, standards, and industry practices; a strong understanding of the BC Plumbing Code is a must.
• Highly organized and able to multitask effectively.
• Able to communicate effectively with consultants, project managers, and field crew members.
• Adaptable and committed to learning.
• Knowledgeable of good field practices in plumbing and HVAC.
