Design, develop, enhance, and maintain reports and dashboards using:
Microsoft Power BI (Reports, Dashboards, Semantic Models)
IBM Cognos Analytics
SAP Crystal Reports
MS Excel
Work with data engineer and architect to consume data from:
Data Warehouses
Data lake/One Lake/Lakehouses
Operational Data Store (ODS) and source systems in MS Azure
Design and maintain facts, dimensions, relationships and business logic
Migrate legacy Crystal Reports to Cognos and Power BI while maintaining performance
Create curated datasets and enable governed self-serve access
Profile data, identify defects, and perform reconciliation across layers
Translate business requirements into technical reporting solution
Develop operational, analytical, and executive-level reports
Develop business logic, calculations, KPIs, and measures
Ensure reports are optimized and meet performance, usability, and visualization best practices
Troubleshoot issues and deliver enhancements iteratively
Support ad-hoc reporting and self-serve analytics use cases
Support execution of system testing
Supports execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Create deployment plans for BI technology deliverables
Support deployment of BI technology deliverables
Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to gather, analyze, and consolidate information from a variety of sources (i.e. documents, interviews, brainstorming sessions, etc.).
Proven record of accomplishment of working with business stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively, professionally, and effectively with the project team, the business stakeholders, and the end users.
Follow best practices of query writing and document changes using Repos
What you must have:
Diploma in computer science from a recognized institute of technology including courses in database design, programming, business, and systems analysis. 5+ years requirements analysis and/or process improvement experience
5+ years of Business Intelligence implementation projects.
Strong SQL skills
Expert knowledge and experience of Cognos BI Enterprise Reporting platform, Microsoft BI technologies, including Power BI, Power BI Report Builder SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), SSRS, Power Pivot, Power Query and Power Viewer.
Experience with DAX and calculation logic
Ability to prepare and analyze data using data warehouses, data lakes, ODS concepts, cubes, and Excel
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft SharePoint in conjunction with Microsoft BI technologies.
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL Server Database (e.g. on-premise, Azure, Synapse Serverless SQL).
Training and experience in best practice business intelligence techniques and best practices.
Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to gather, analyze, and consolidate information from a variety of sources (i.e. documents, interviews, brainstorming sessions, etc.).
Proven record of accomplishment of working with business stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively, professionally, and effectively with the project team, the business stakeholders, and the end users.
