$20.87 – $21.96 per hour

We are looking for a proactive janitor who will perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure the overall upkeep of the sports complex and surrounding grounds. Primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs.

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes.
• Ensure that entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe including:
• Property & grounds cleanup.
• Grass cutting and edging.
• Seasonal snow and debris removal.
• Maintain appropriate checklists, records and reports with respect to:
• Change room cleanliness.
• Window cleanliness.
• Washroom cleaning checklist.
• Shower cleaning checklist.
• Parking lot & property cleaning checklist.
• Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures.
• Assist with minor maintenance as required.
• Assist in ice maintenance during peak periods, short staffing or as required.

• Completed high school education or equivalent (asset).
• Valid driver’s license (asset).
• Building Service Worker Certificate (BC).
• Previous experience as a commercial building janitor (preferred).
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and call-outs).
• Approachable and team‑oriented with great communication skills (verbal and written).
