Reporting to the Medical Device Software Tools Lead, we are looking for a dynamic Software Tools Developer. As a part of a highly collaborative and technical team, you will develop innovative, user‑friendly software features for our revolutionary Globe® Mapping and Ablation System.

Location:

Burnaby, BC. Hybrid work arrangement.

• Develop, test and maintain tools to assist in the development of software for our Globe® Mapping and Ablation System.
• Tools span code generation, static analysis customization, workflow customizations and testing automation frameworks.
• Utilize multiple languages such as Python, Java, C#, and C++.
• Apply regular expressions or formal text parsing.
• Analyze requirements and business case.
• Perform software verification and validation (V&V).
• Customize/integrate third‑party systems for requirements management, issue tracking systems, source code repositories and static analysis.
• Practice TDD/Unit Testing.
• Develop IDE plugin/extension development APIs.
• Develop HTML, CSS and web app frameworks.

• 7+ years of experience in advanced programming skills in scripting or object‑oriented languages such as Python, Java, C#, and C++.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
• Proven ability to contribute in a disciplined software development process.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Well‑developed written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.
• Helpful experience with build systems such as Maven, scons, make, ant, and gradle.
• Experience in customizing or integrating with workflow tools like Jira.
• Experience in medical device or other regulated industry.
• Experience with code parsing frameworks such as lexx/yacc.

Base salary + 5% RRSP contribution. CAD $110,000 – $140,000 annually. Permanent employees also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
