Lane Closure Technician; LCT

Allteck is currently seeking a Lane Closure Technician (LCT) in Lower Mainland, BC

Must join the IBEW Local 258 Union

Wage Range $25.98 – $32.35 per hour, plus benefits

Burnaby, BC

Job Type: Full Time

• Responsible for the safe and courteous movement of vehicles and personnel
• Setting-up traffic control zones
• Responding to emergency situations and hazards
• Knowledge and understanding of Traffic Management Plans and the Traffic Control Manual for Work on Roadways as developed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure
• Knowledge of the requirements of the British Columbia Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations related to traffic control
• Working and coordinating with other Traffic Control Persons (TCP’s) onsite

• Ability to set up lanes that flow and provide safety to customers and team members
• Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to work under pressure while remaining professional
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as a part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A safety conscious demeanor and willingness to adhere to company safety policies, practices, and procedures

• Valid BCCSA Traffic Control Person (TCP) Ticket
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence in Good Standing Preferred, Class 7 Considered
• One-year previous experience as a Traffic Control Person (TCP)
• Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test as a pre-employment requirement
