Maintenance Multi-skilled Engineer - Crewkerne

We’re looking for a Multi‑Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to support our production team in delivering high‑quality products with minimal downtime.

• Providing electrical and mechanical assistance across production and packaging lines
• Diagnosing and repairing faults quickly and safely to reduce downtime
• Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement tasks
• Bolstering the integration of new equipment and technology on site
• Collaborating with production and engineering teams to maintain high standards of performance and safety

4 on / 4 off rotation – giving you consistent time off and work‑life balance

• A recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent level qualification – Minimum level 3 NVQ in Engineering.
• A pro‑active approach to preventative maintenance/asset care and a logical approach to fault‑finding diagnostics
• Willingness to learn and embrace Health & Safety and Quality requirements and standards
• Self‑motivated and a team player, comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
• Good communication skills – engaging and inquisitive
• Prepared to work up to 12 hours in a factory environment; it can be physically and mentally challenging
• Ready for the 4 on / 4 off schedule and the associated holidays (21 days) over the half year you’ll work

• Experience working in Food, Pharmaceutical or similar regulated and audited industries
• Knowledge and demonstrable experience of RCM, FMEA methods and improvements
• Advanced fault‑finding and root‑cause experience with multi‑disciplined capability
• Familiarity with Siemens, Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLCs
• Experience of automated processes and equipment within FMCG environments
• Improvement project leadership
