Reporting to the UK IT Manager, a 1-year placement is available within the IT Department in Burton, working within a small professional team.

As an IT Assistant, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting day-to-day IT operations, including:

• Provide 2nd line support in a complex manufacturing environment
• Provide day to day support to local and remote users
• Assisting with hardware and software setup and maintenance
• Support the team with network and infrastructure tasks

• Working towards a degree in IT, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to learn
• A good communicator who is not afraid to interact with users at all levels
• Good knowledge of computer and printer hardware
• The ability to manage your own workload

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience with configuring and administering Windows 10 and 11

• Knowledge of server hardware and operating systems
• Knowledge of computer networks and related technologies

There will be no requirement for writing code in this placement.
