About the Role

We are looking to recruit Registered General Nurses located in Bury St Edmunds that are looking for ad-hoc, flexible shifts. These shifts can accumulate into either full time hours or part time hours, but will be offered on a 0 hours contract. The role will include working at different homes and services covering gaps in our clients rotas due to annual leave, maternity leave, sickness and vacancies.

These shifts may arise at short notice due to last minute emergencies, whilst also being booked weeks in advance, depending on the clients needs.

Everyday tasks will consist of the following, but not be limited to;

• Checking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), observing symptoms, and recording patient history and progress.
• Administering prescribed drugs, injections, and IVs, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Cleaning, dressing, and managing wounds
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
• Providing comfort and advocacy for patients and their families during challenging times.

About the Person

A suitable candidate for this position will be somebody that has a minimum of 4 months experience as a Registered General Nurse in a UK Care/ Nursing home. A valid NMC registration with no restrictions. Somebody that has a good understanding of spoken and written English. Somebody that is compassionate, patient and enjoys helping others.

This position is subject to a enhanced DBS check and providing evidence of right to work in the UK.
