Personal Care Assistant/Home Care Assistant

Bury, Greater Manchester

We are looking for Female Personal Care Assistants to support a lovely friendly young lady with her everyday needs and activities. The lady has complex health needs and lives within her family home. You will be working as part of a small friendly team, assisting with everyday living activities and light house duties.

• £12.50-£13.50 per hour, potential for increased rates after probation and completion of required competencies
• Holiday entitlement of 5.6 weeks per year pro‑rated
• Relevant clinical, epilepsy, moving and handling and first aid training will be provided

• Thursday – Saturday, waking nights
• Bank/relief staff required for holiday/sickness cover
• Employment options to be discussed at interview stage

• Support the individual in daily living activities and some out‑and‑about, ensuring all resources are taken and the home is left secure
• Assist with all aspects of personal care as required, including PEG/ medication and feeding (training will be given)
• Ensure medical items and medication are organised and inform the user when stocks need renewing
• Use a range of recommended medical equipment and ensure these are checked and fully charged
• Organise daily activities and support general domestic duties, including cleaning and laundry

• Full driving licence
• Enhanced DBS check (cost will be met by the Employer)
• Successful completion of a 6‑month probationary period
• Relevant training in clinical care, epilepsy, moving and handling, and first aid will be provided
