I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client, based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds who are seeking a Production Manager to join their team. This is a business with ambitious plans for growth with a role is perfect for someone really wanting to make a difference and stamp their mark.
Salary: £40-45k (DOE)
Hours:
Monday - Friday (08:00-17:00)
Holiday: 23 days + Bank Holidays
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for a range of Production tasks.
Oversee the day to day workload of Production Operations, ensuring efficiency and quality are maximised.
Ensure Health and Safety standards are upheld and maintained in line with regulatory requirements and ensure risk assessments are updated.
Identify opportunities in which process improvements can be made.
Monitor inventory levels.
Train, develop and mentor the team, ensuring employee reviews and training are done to improve the teams skills.
Collaborate with HR on recruitment, ensuring suitable staffing levels are in place.
What are we looking for?
Previous experience in a Production Management role.
Cool, calm and level headed with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
A strong passion for continuous improvement with the ability to think creatively about solutions.
Previous experience of working in Lean Manufacturing environments.
Excellent Leadership and communication skills.
