The Role
You will work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, covering different shifts across a dedicated area around the home base of this advertised location. There is no weekend or night work, but overtime on Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays is often offered. Weekends are paid at 1.5x for Saturdays and 2x for Sundays, and weekday overtime outside normal court operating times is paid at 1.5x.

Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users.
- Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV, x‑ray machines, hand‑held metal detectors and bag searches on arrival.
- Patrol and secure access to buildings and satellite buildings, keeping in contact with the control room using hand‑held radios.
- Respond to panic alarm buttons in judges’ rooms, courts and offices.
- Respond to any security issues within the complex and record and report details of those incidents.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance completed for the successful candidate.
- SIA Licence and relevant security related experience.
- UK driving licence (location dependent).
- Strong people and customer service skills.
- Good diligence and high standard of work.
- Effective communication skills.
