A Unit Manager will mean taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and delivering the very best level of care, and running the entire place when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent. Whether you’re reporting that a new resident has mobility issues or administering medicine, resident dignity and well‑being will always be the priority.

You will have proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults. Beyond that it’s all about your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. This is a role for someone ready to take real accountability. When you communicate with a resident or colleague you’ll always be considerate and kind. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; you must recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect in its various forms, know what to do if concerns arise, and seek appropriate advice and report concerns—including escalation if action is not taken.
