We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Operations Support Engineer to join our Workplace Services team. This role focuses on the operational delivery and technical support of network infrastructure for our clients.

• Provide 2nd/3rd line support for network‑related incidents and service requests
• Advanced configuration and management of enterprise switches, routers, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper)
• Monitor network performance and implement improvements for uptime and security
• Assist with network design and implementation for new projects and client onboarding
• Respond to escalations and resolve complex technical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for hardware/software procurement and support
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
• Participate in an on‑call rota to provide out‑of‑hours support as required

Working hours fall within the hours of 0700 to 1800 daily, dictated by the shift pattern which you are allocated. Therefore, on occasions you will be required to cover additional shifts in the absence of colleagues, as directed by your manager. Working hours may occasionally include weekend and statutory public holiday working. The Company may from time to time require you to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties.

Participation in an on‑call rota is expected, providing out‑of‑hours support for critical incidents and urgent client requirements. On‑call duties are shared across the team and may occasionally require evening or weekend work.

• Significant experience supporting and troubleshooting complex multi‑site LAN/WAN environments
• Advanced configuration and management of enterprise switches, routers, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper)
• In‑depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and dynamic routing configuration
• Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewall rule sets, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), and intrusion prevention systems
• Experience with VLAN design, trunking, inter‑VLAN routing, and network segmentation
