IMI Remosa , a long-established leader in the petrochemical sector and part of IMI Group , specializes in the design and manufacturing of valves , actuators , and hydraulic control systems for refinery and petrochemical plants .
As part of our strategic expansion , we are now developing and industrializing electrolyzer technologies for green hydrogen production .
The position is based at our engineering and manufacturing site in Uta (Cagliari, Sardinia) .
Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading complex engineering projects from proposal to delivery , ensuring technical alignment , budget and schedule control , and smooth coordination among internal and external stakeholders .
The ideal candidate has experience in industrial or plant-related environments and excels in cross-functional leadership .
Key Responsibilities
Manage full project lifecycle : planning , execution , monitoring , and closure .
Lead multidisciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, production, quality, service).
Develop and maintain project schedules , budgets, and risk assessments.
Ensure project deliverables comply with technical specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on technical and project matters.
Oversee documentation, reporting, and communication channels.
Identify and mitigate project risks ; implement corrective actions when needed.
Support commissioning and start‑up activities of electrolysis systems (international travel may be required).
Ensure adherence to HSE, company procedures, and international standards.
Technical Requirements
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields).
5+ years of experience in project management within industrial plants, EPC environments, or complex engineered systems.
Strong understanding of engineering processes, preferably in petrochemical, energy, or hydrogen technologies.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Ability to read technical documents: P&, datasheets, specifications.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
Analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving.
Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
High sense of ownership, quality, and safety.
Nice to Have
Experience in EPC or highly engineered products.
Knowledge of ATEX, IEC/ISO standards, and industrial safety frameworks.
Prior experience with hydrogen, electrolysis, or energy transition projects.
