Senior Accountant

Position: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
About Our Client    Our client, a growing global SaaS company, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract with potential for extension.

About the Opportunity

· Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reporting.

· Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules and general ledger accounts.

· Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls.

· Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues.

· Collaborate with cross-functional and international finance teams to meet reporting deadlines.

· Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiencies.

· Support ad hoc accounting projects and other finance initiatives as required.

About You

· 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate accounting or public practice environment.

· Strong technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP, IFRS or ASPE.

· Hands-on experience with a major ERP system such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle or JD Edwards.

· Proven experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.

· Experience in the SaaS, technology or professional services industries is an asset.

· Direct experience with Net Suite is an asset.

· Public accounting experience with exposure to technology or SaaS clients is an asset.

· Experience working within international or multi-entity organizations is an asset.
