Project Control Specialist
Pay $54.00 – $66.46/hour (based on experience). Contract length: 1 year.
Location:
Foster Creek (with occasional travel to other sites and Calgary office).
Work schedule:
8 days on / 6 days off rotation (92 hours per shift). Flight provided via Cenovus flights from Calgary or Edmonton. Camp accommodations provided at site.
Raised Jasper is hiring a Project Control Specialist to support the successful execution of capital projects by providing accurate cost, schedule, and performance reporting. This role ensures alignment between contractors and project teams, enabling effective decision‑making and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain contractor performance tools and quantity‑based scorecards for field execution.
- Collect, manage, and report project progress and performance data, including cost metrics and change management.
- Verify contractor progress and performance, identify variances, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support the development and management of project schedules and dashboards.
- Ensure accurate record‑keeping of construction metrics and KPIs.
- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure alignment and timely reporting.
- Participate in risk identification and communicate potential impacts on cost and schedule.
- 3 years of project controls experience on projects with budgets exceeding $10 million.
- Strong knowledge of project controls principles, cost management, and change management processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word); experience with project controls software is an asset.
- Familiarity with mechanical services or construction industry practices.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing.
- Analytical and detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, site‑based environment.
