Senior Estimator

Match Box Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Estimator for a construction company that specializes in commercial tenant improvements and commercial new build projects in the lower mainland. The company has been recognized as a Top 70 employer as well as one of Canada's Best Managed Companies.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate full-cost estimates for Conceptual, Design-Build, Construction Management, IPD, Lump Sum, and general tender work
• Source pricing from subcontractors and suppliers; complete quantity take-offs
• Review, recommend, and negotiate proposals and contracts
• Track estimated vs. actual costs on awarded projects
• Manage take-offs, purchasing, material control, and interpretation of drawings/specifications to support safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery
• Evaluate and recommend allowances for indirect costs, design unknowns, escalation, and contingencies
• Develop competitive bids aligned with client requirements and timelines

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction, engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience with a general contractor
• Strong ability to read and interpret building specifications, blueprints, and as-builts
• Advanced mathematical and analytical skills for developing material and labour estimates
• Strong communication and presentation abilities
• Well-connected in the local market with established subcontractor and supplier relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam
