Interior Design Technologist

We are currently seeking an Interior Designer Technologists to join the Calgary Studio to lend their skills on upcoming fast-food restaurant projects.

Job Summary

The Interior Design Technologist supports the successful delivery of interior design projects through the development ofdocumentation, modeling, and coordination efforts. This role is focused on the development of strong technical competencies and communication skills through hands-on collaboration with interior designers and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Documentation

• Assistin setting up project documentation, modeling, and specifications acrossall phases.
• Preparecomprehensive drawing packages for permit submissions and construction documentation.
• Reviewdrawings for accuracy, constructability, consultant coordination, and compliance with applicable codes and bylaws.
• Support product research for interior materials, finishes, and systems.
• Assistin the preparation of project building code analyses.

Project Support and Coordination

• Liaise with consultant teams and approvingauthorities under the direction of senior staff.
• Attend client and consultant meetings as required.
• Participate in site meetings, shop drawingreviews, and contract administration support tasks.
• Maintain a strong focus on meeting deadlines, taking ownership of assigned tasks, and following through independently with minimal supervision.
• Ensure all work aligns with the firm’sProject Delivery standards, including proper use of filing systems,adherence to architectural procedures, and compliance with drawing and documentation protocols.

Team and Culture

• Collaborate in a fast-paced, fullyin-office team environment.
• Actively contributes to team discussionsaround the development of best practices and systems.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility,and effective communication in a collaborative setting.
• Able to workin a collaborative, in-office environment (100% in-office presence required to support direct team engagement and effective cross-functionalcoordination).

Qualifications

• Diploma in Interior Design Technology,Architectural Technology, or related field from a recognized institution.
• 0–5 years of experience in the production of interior design construction documents.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Skills in InDesign, Sketch Up, and 3
  
  Drendering considered assets.
• Foundational knowledge of space planning,detailing, materials research, and integration with building systems.
