The Opportunity:

Shape the future of water quality in Western Canada. As a Water Quality Scientist
, you’ll join North America’s largest water quality team—over 30 experts strong—working on projects that protect aquatic environments and support sustainable resource development. Based in Calgary, Edmonton, or Saskatoon, you’ll collaborate on multi-disciplinary initiatives that influence permitting, monitoring, and environmental stewardship for mining, municipal, and energy sectors.

Your Impact
  • Design and deliver water and sediment quality assessments that safeguard ecosystems and meet regulatory standards.
  • Lead field programs for baseline studies, aquatic effects monitoring, and mine closure projects across Western Canada.
  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets to inform decisions on multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Collaborate with biologists, toxicologists, geochemists, and hydrologists to secure environmental permits and approvals.
  • Mentor emerging professionals and contribute to a culture of learning and technical excellence.
The skills that set you apart
  • Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resources, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in water quality.
  • Expertise in Canadian and provincial water quality guidelines, permitting processes, and environmental assessment protocols.
  • Proven ability to manage large datasets and apply statistical techniques for robust analysis.
  • Skilled in tools like R, Python, or Power BI for data visualization and interpretation.
  • Professional registration (Biologist, Chemist, or Engineer) or eligibility for registration is an asset.
