Intermediate REVIT Mechanical Designer – Calgary, AB

We are proud to partner with a highly respected engineering firm specializing in mechanical design, energy modeling, and sustainable solutions for buildings throughout North America to find their Intermediate REVIT Mechanical Designer in Calgary, Alberta.

• Placing and sizing of distribution systems and equipment following industry standards and
• Perform load calculations using the company-provided software.
• Selection of mechanical equipment working directly with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Preparation of schematic design, design development and construction documents in either AutoCAD or REVIT, and adhere to our Client’s Standards and Guidelines.
• Assist with Contract Administration, including shop drawing review, RFI responses and on-site review.
• May attend design and construction meetings with the client, other consultants and the contractors.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering and accreditation as a Professional Engineer: P. Eng. or PE in the jurisdiction in which they are working is an asset.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Canadian experience in mechanical HVAC and Plumbing design is a must
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, heating, cooling, and air handlers. Ability to interpret construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of current codes and standards, such as the local plumbing and local building codes.
• Experience using building heating and cooling load calculations.
• Understanding of software programs (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, REVIT).
