WSP is currently seeking a Transportation Planner or Engineer to join its Mobility Planning and Advisory team and contribute to a broad variety of transportation planning and engineering projects across Canada.

Scope of WorkAs a member of the Transportation Planning Group, you will provide planning and engineering services across the full spectrum of transportation challenges, including:
- Complete Streets and Active Transportation / Trails Infrastructure Planning
- Functional and Detailed Design
- Regional and Area Transportation Studies
- Site‑specific Transportation Assessments
- Design Guidelines and Innovative Design Solutions/Research
- Transportation Demand Management (TDM)
- Transportation Modelling
- Public Engagement
- Road Safety Improvements
- Transit Planning
- Parking Studies
- Transportation Master Plans and Traffic Analysis
- Collaborate with colleagues on projects, from data collection and analysis to reporting and supporting the team on in‑field and in‑office technical tasks, including graphics preparation.
- Apply best practices and propose innovative solutions for multi‑modal transportation, transit and traffic projects.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, designers and landscape architects.
- Prepare and oversee technical memos and reports to communicate results and recommendations.
- Attend client and public meetings.
- Develop experience in project management and coordination.
- Passion and/or professional interest in transportation and a desire to contribute to multi‑modal solutions.
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Transportation Engineering or Transportation Planning.
- P. Eng. or RPP designation.
- 3‑10 years’ experience in the transportation engineering and/or planning field.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in traffic operations and site analysis.
- Experience with transportation software and methods (e.g., Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, Sidra, VISSIM, VISTRO, Aimsun).
