** Job Description
**** When You Join Us You Will:
*** Provide involvement and support in promoting safety in an industrial environment through the utilization of engineering and scientific controls
* Assist the assigned manager with project management, including tendering, negotiating, planning, installation, supervision of projects, commissioning and project closeout as needed.
* Support the design and installation of short term continuous improvement projects
* Become familiar with environmental, operational, and safety codes and compliance and ensure best practices are implemented as required
* Become familiar with continuous and batching manufacturing processes.
* Help sustain 5S program.
* Perform safety audits and hazard inspections.
* Creating and Updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other training documentation.
* Collection of data for site environmental projects and studies.
* Other duties as assigned.
** Our Ideal Candidate Would Be:
*** 3rd or 4th year student currently enrolled in a University Engineering program, preferably Mechanical.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functionality), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point
* Able to read and interpret drawings
* Ability to accurately compile and disseminate data
* Strong critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills
* Proven ability to prioritize tasks and function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Project management experience is considered an asset
* Committed to the health and safety of employees, contractors, and visitors
** Hours of Work
** Monday to Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM
