Join Shermco Canada as a Senior Training Specialist and help shape a safer, more skilled electrical workforce.
Responsibilities- Deliver engaging classroom and hands‑on training for electricians, technicians, and engineers.
- Teach high‑voltage systems, switch gear testing and maintenance, renewable energy systems, and substation operations.
- Design and update training materials aligned with industry standards and adult learning principles.
- Champion electrical safety using standards such as NFPA 70E or CSA Z462, including Arc Flash and Lockout/Tagout.
- Mentor learners and collaborate with fellow trainers and industry partners.
- Travel to training sites as required to support programs and learners.
- 7–10+ years as an industrial electrician, high‑voltage tester, or electrical engineer.
- 3–5 years of training, coaching, or mentorship experience.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of high‑voltage systems, switch gear, renewables, and substations.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching.
- Comfortable using PowerPoint, Excel, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Preferred: Electrical Technologist, Journeyperson Electrician, Electrical Engineering degree, Trainer certification, NFPA 70E, or CSA Z462 Instructor.
