JOB PROFILE – Event Supervisor.
REPORTS TO:
Event Manager / Event Coordinator. ROLE:
Assistant to Event Manager and Event Coordinator, third in command in the department, to create memorable experiences with attentive service, product knowledge, fun and passion. Acts as shift leader with clients and staff.
- Assist the Event Manager and Event Coordinator in delivering memorable banquet experiences with attentive service, product knowledge, fun and passion.
- Act as shift leader with clients and staff.
- Be fully trained on Event Manager’s role and responsibilities and able to take on Event Manager’s role due to illness or vacation.
- Understand and practice all booking procedures and follow all sales procedures.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment with flexibility and readiness to support high-pressure situations.
- Attitude: ability to give guests a fantastic and memorable experience; positive, upbeat, and outgoing personality; strong work ethic with flexible availability; calm and organized demeanor under pressure.
- Knowledge and skills: understanding of standards, ability to coach standards in a positive manner, professional presentation and appearance standards, strong sales skills, good computer skills (Word, Excel, Email), understanding of AV technology, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively, proactive guest service skills, leadership ability.
- Physical: good physical condition as the role may require walking, standing, bending and lifting.
