Position SummaryThe Billing Clerk is a key member of the Oasis Administrative Team, responsible for the accurate, efficient, and compliant billing of patient accounts. This role ensures that all services delivered by the clinic are billed in a timely manner, payments are reconciled, and patient inquiries are managed with professionalism and respect.

Key Responsibilities- Prepare, verify, and submit patient billing and insurance claims for fertility services, procedures, and ancillary treatments
- Review charges for accuracy ensuring alignment with medical records and service delivery
- Reconcile payments, credits, adjustments, and outstanding balances
- Communicate with patients professionally regarding billing inquiries, payment plans, and account statements
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies and support revenue cycle continuity
- Maintain billing records and supporting documentation in the practice management/EHR system
- Produce billing reports for internal review and month-end close processes
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with privacy & healthcare billing standards
- Diploma or certificate in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3+ years of healthcare billing, accounts receivable, or related administrative experience preferred
- Proficiency with billing and practice management systems;
Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) - Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and internal stakeholders
- Understanding of healthcare billing practices, terminology, and privacy regulations (PHIA/PIPEDA) an asset
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong customer service orientation with professional communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
