IN-HOUSE WEB DEVELOPER + SEO/AEO/GEO SPECIALIST

Part-Time / Contract

Hybrid In-House (Min. 1 Day/Week On-Site)

We’re looking for an in-house Web Developer with strong SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and backlinking skills to help us sharpen and future‑prove our online presence.

This is not an agency or fully‑remote role — you must live in Calgary and be able to work on location at least 1 day per week at our facility.

• Build, maintain, and optimize website pages, landing pages, and digital assets.
• Lead SEO and AEO strategy to improve visibility on Google, Bing, and AI‑driven search engines.
• Develop and execute GEO strategies so our content performs well in generative search tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.).
• Handle technical SEO
  : performance, speed, accessibility, schema, and site structure.
• Plan and support off‑page SEO and backlinking efforts (identifying opportunities, coordinating outreach, and monitoring link quality).
• Run regular audits (technical, SEO, backlink profile, content gaps) and implement improvements.
• Work closely with marketing to support campaigns, funnels, and lead‑generation goals.
• Track, analyze, and report performance metrics—and iterate based on data.

• Proven experience in web development (
  Word Press
  , Webflow, or similar CMS; strong HTML/CSS/JS).
• Hands‑on SEO and technical SEO experience with measurable results.
• Understanding of backlink strategies (quality over quantity, domain authority, anchor text best practices, spam avoidance).
• Strong understanding of AEO and GEO
  : featured snippets, structured data, and optimization for AI/LLM answers.
• Comfort with tools like GA4, Google Search Console, and SEMrush/Ahrefs (or similar).
• Ability to balance strategy and execution—thinking big picture while getting the details right.

• UX/UI optimization experience.
• Ability to write or refine on‑page content for search and AI visibility.
• CRO (conversion rate optimization) knowledge.

• Location: Calgary, AB.
• In‑House Requirement: Must work on‑site at least 1 day per week (more if needed for collaboration, launches, or key projects).
• Hybrid flexibility outside of that in‑office requirement.
