BI Reporting Specialist

Develop and maintain SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards for operational and strategic needs.

Manage report development cycles including testing, stakeholder sign-off, and migration to production.

Maintain and refine existing Power BI datasets
, models, and visualizations.

Create visually appealing dashboards beyond the standard Power BI basics.

Write, review, and optimize SQL queries for reports, dashboards, and ETL processes.

Manage BI code repositories, source control, and migration processes across Dev, Test, and Prod environments.

Support environment monitoring, including Dev/Test resource balancing.

Ensure availability and performance of critical reporting infrastructure.

Aid in monitoring nightly data refreshes,
SSRS report executions, and DW load stability.

Participate in recurring meetings with business units to gather requirements and provide updates.

Review and approve changes to data models and support prioritization of report development tasks.

Collaborate on BI access reviews, security audits, and production deployment governance.

Support ETL workflows using SSIS and SQL.

Perform daily monitoring and troubleshooting of data pipelines and scheduled loads.

Assist with data warehouse support and ongoing data model optimization.

5+ years of hands-on experience with:

• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

• Power BI

• SQL

• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and enterprise data management.

Experience monitoring and supporting production environments and load processes.

Proven ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Effective communicator, comfortable engaging with both technical and business stakeholders.
