Product Content Specialist [206605]

This contract role supports product onboarding and content quality for our client’s eCommerce site. It ensures Product Detail Pages (PDPs) are accurate, complete, and customer-ready by processing incoming product content, resolving data and workflow issues, and partnering with cross‑functional teams.
Base pay rangeCA $22.00/hr – CA $25.00/hr
What You’ll Do- Product Content Onboarding
- Manage end‑to‑end onboarding of product content to the client’s eCommerce platform.
- Process incoming vendor content so it is accurate, complete, and customer‑facing.
- Ensure product information is uploaded and maintained on PDPs.
- Content Quality & Issue Resolution
- Perform regular quality checks on PDPs to ensure content accuracy and consistency.
- Identify and troubleshoot content or data issues that prevent products from going live.
- Act as a source of knowledge for other teams when onboarding questions arise.
- Cross‑Functional & External Collaboration
- Partner with purchasing, marketing, and operations teams to provide status updates and resolve issues.
- Coordinate with external agencies supporting product titles or enhanced content, ensuring clear instructions and timelines.
- Communicate clearly when issues are blocked, delayed, or dependent on other teams.
- Workflow & Continuous Improvement
- Manage daily and weekly content intake to prevent backlogs.
- Support priority or promotional product requests that require quick pivots.
- Contribute to process improvements as tools and automation evolve.
- Support enhanced content initiatives as the scope expands.
- Heavy use of Excel (filters, formulas, lookups such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
- Content Management Systems (CMS) and eCommerce platforms.
- Large sets of product data (SKUs, attributes, dates, product identifiers).
- Exposure to emerging automation and AI‑supported tools for content processing.
- Product content moves through intake quickly with minimal backlog.
- PDPs are accurate, complete, and customer‑ready.
- Stakeholders feel informed and supported.
- Team members view you as reliable, detail‑oriented, and easy to work with.
- You adapt well to changing priorities and last‑minute requests without negative impact.
- Experience onboarding or managing product content in an eCommerce environment.
- Strong Excel skills, including filters and formulas (lookup experience preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with large volumes of data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, solution‑oriented attitude and strong follow‑through.
- Background in marketing, content operations, or digital merchandising.
- Basic understanding of SEO best practices related to product content.
- Experience working with vendors or external agencies.
- Familiarity with automation, AI tools, or process improvement initiatives.
- Retail or consumer goods experience.
