AboutThe Role
We’re looking for a Front‑End CMS Developer on a 6‑month contract role to support ongoing enhancements to our digital platforms, with a focus on Hub Spot CMS. This role centers on building clean, accessible, and reusable front‑end components, improving themes, and ensuring a seamless authoring experience for our Marketing team. You’ll work closely with internal developers and designers, translating UX direction into polished, production‑ready templates.
Key Responsibilities- Build, update, and maintain CMS templates, themes, and reusable modules for a multilingual site (primarily English + French).
- Implement responsive and accessible front‑end experiences aligned with brand guidelines.
- Improve CMS authoring workflows and ensure smooth content editing for business users.
- Identify and fix layout, styling, and cross‑browser issues across CMS‑managed pages.
- Develop custom modules and templates using HubL, HubDB, and Hub Spot’s design tools.
- Help standardize Hub Spot themes and reduce redundant assets.
- Support the Marketing team with landing page creation, campaign setups, and content adjustments.
- Troubleshoot Hub Spot‑side quirks or asset issues and recommend best practices.
- Write clean, maintainable HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.
- Ensure strong performance, accessibility (A11y), and mobile‑first responsiveness.
- Integrate front‑end components with APIs or CMS‑driven dynamic data.
- Maintain consistency across modules through reusable patterns and shared styles.
- Work with developers, designers, and Marketing stakeholders to refine requirements.
- Communicate timelines and blockers clearly, especially given fast‑turnaround expectations.
- Participate in code reviews and align with internal coding standards.
- Deliver high‑quality work with minimal oversight in an iterative Agile environment.
- 3–5 years of professional front‑end development experience.
- Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript.
- Hands‑on experience building or customizing CMS sites/themes (Hub Spot, Word Press, or similar).
- Comfortable developing or translating designs from Figma/Adobe XD into modular front‑end components.
- Solid understanding of UX patterns, responsive design, and accessibility.
- Familiarity with Git and Agile workflows.
- Direct experience with Hub Spot CMS development (CLI, HubL, HubDB, custom themes, modules).
- Experience integrating CMS components with REST APIs.
- Experience optimizing CMS performance (image handling, asset bundling, etc.).
- Must be able to deliver high‑quality front‑end work with autonomy.
- Availability for regular check‑ins (in‑person or remote) with internal development and Marketing teams.
- Ability to support fast‑paced, iterative changes (property updates, campaign pages, etc.).
