Overview
We are seeking an experienced and innovative AWS Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. As an AWS Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing highly scalable and robust cloud solutions for our clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving successful cloud migration projects and optimizing existing AWS infrastructure.
Location: Calgary, AB (Candidates local to Calgary are preferred)

Responsibilities:
Architecting Cloud Solutions:
Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions using AWS services and best practices.
Cloud Migration:
Lead and execute the migration of on-premises applications and workloads to AWS, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
Infrastructure Design:
Design and implement AWS infrastructure, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, IAM roles, and other core services to meet application requirements.
Application Deployment:
Oversee the deployment of applications on AWS, utilizing services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others while ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
Security and Compliance:
Implement robust security measures, including encryption, access controls, and identity management, to safeguard data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and fine-tune AWS environments for optimal performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, employing auto-scaling and resource optimization techniques.
Disaster Recovery and Backup:
Develop disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity and data integrity in case of system failures or outages.
Cost Management:
Provide cost analysis and optimization recommendations to clients, helping them leverage AWS pricing models and cost-effective solutions.
Documentation and Training:
Create detailed technical documentation and conduct training sessions for internal teams and clients to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure smooth operations.
Stay Updated:
Keep abreast of the latest AWS services, trends, and best practices, and proactively recommend new solutions that align with business objectives.
