Position: Junior/Intermediate Network Designer (Cisco) supporting network configuration, documentation, and cutovers for 300+
Our client has a requirement for Junior/Intermediate Network Designer(s) with hands-on Cisco experience, delivering configuration, documentation, and cutover support for large-scale network design and implementation projects across + field locations.
Working under Senior Network Designers, you will translate approved designs into standardized device configurations, maintain accurate documentation, and assist with network cutovers and migrations.
12-month contract
Must Have:
3+ years of experience in network operations or design support rolesExperience using Cisco IOS or similar command-line environmentsStrong understanding of switching and routing fundamentals (VLANs, STP, IP subnetting)Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visio or similar diagramming toolsFamiliarity with change management and maintenance windowsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow standards and templatesClear communication skills with both technical and non-technical teamsWillingness to participate in occasional after-hours deploymentsNice-to-Have:
CCNA or higher certificationExperience with Network Management Systems (e.g., Solar Winds, Infoblox, Cisco ISE, Panorama)Basic scripting or Python experienceResponsibilities:
Generate router, switch, and firewall configurations using standardized templatesMaintain logical and physical network diagrams in Microsoft VisioUpdate NMS, IPAM, and asset recordsParticipate in scheduled cutovers, migrations, and validation testingCoordinate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams
