Our Oil & Gas industry enterprise client is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to secure systems, design resilient infrastructure, and roadmap cloud recovery solutions
.
This is an initial 6-month contract with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to working full-time onsite, downtown Calgary.
Must-Haves:
7+ years' of experience as a Solution Architect3+ years' of experience working in Cloud Optimization or Cloud Transformation projects5+ years' combined experience supporting and designing core IT services, including IAM, Cybersecurity, and NetworkNice-to-Haves:
Experience working in large, enterprise BC/DR (Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery) programsOil and Gas industry experienceKey Responsibilities:
Develop detailed solution design documents for foundational IT systems and servicesDevelop detailed solution design documents for critical business applicationsEnsure designs consider both functional and non-functional requirementsInvestigate and make recommendations on specific tools and technologies required to support the solution designsIdentify gaps in current state technologies and their ability to achieve the required level of Business ContinuityProvide recommendations to close identified gapsWork with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Network and Security teams to review, refine and approve the Foundational IT component designsWork with Application Support and Business teams to review, refine and approve the solution designs for critical applicationsOversee the implementation of the solutions, ensuring they meet design specifications and pass architectural test cases
