Role Overview & ContextWe are seeking an experienced UX Architect to lead the design vision and user experience strategy for a large-scale digital transformation initiative within the logistics and transportation domain. The role is based in Calgary and involves working closely with a major logistics organization undergoing modernization of its customer-facing digital platforms.
The UX Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping product vision, simplifying complex onboarding journeys, designing intuitive dashboards, and improving shipment visibility experiences for enterprise and operational users. This is a highly collaborative, client-facing role requiring strong facilitation, strategic thinking, and hands‑on design leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end UX strategy and experience architecture for logistics-focused digital platforms
- Act as the primary UX point of contact with client stakeholders, driving conversations and aligning business goals with user experience outcomes
- Plan and facilitate design thinking workshops, discovery sessions, and co‑creation activities with cross‑functional client teams
- Translate complex workflows into simple, intuitive onboarding journeys that reduce friction and improve task completion
- Design and guide the creation of scalable dashboards that provide clear visibility into operations, metrics, and shipment status
- Define and evolve shipment visibility experiences, including real‑time tracking, milestones, alerts, and status communication
- Establish UX principles, interaction models, and experience frameworks aligned to long-term product vision
- Collaborate closely with product owners, engineering, data, and business teams to ensure feasibility and successful delivery
- Mentor designers and ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across all design outputs
- Ensure designs adhere to usability heuristics, accessibility standards (WCAG), and platform best practices
- 10+ years of experience in AI-driven UX design, product design, or experience architecture roles
- Proven experience leading UX for complex enterprise or B2B platforms, preferably in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or industrial domains
- Strong expertise in simplifying complex onboarding flows and form-heavy experiences
- Demonstrated ability to design data-heavy dashboards that are intuitive, actionable, and user-centric
- Hands‑on experience with design thinking methodologies, journey mapping, personas, and service blueprints
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in leading workshops and presentations at senior levels
- Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, Fig Jam, or similar collaborative platforms
- Strong understanding of accessibility, usability heuristics, and inclusive design principles
- Prior experience working onsite with North American clients
- Exposure to AI-assisted UX, data-driven design, or predictive experiences
- Background in rail, freight, logistics, or large-scale infrastructure systems
- Strategic thinker with a strong systems mindset
- Comfortable operating at both vision and execution levels
- Strong communicator who can bridge business, design, and technology
- Adaptable, collaborative, and confident in client-facing environments
