In this leadership position, you’ll oversee a team of experienced claims professionals, guiding them in achieving operational excellence and delivering exceptional client outcomes. You’ll play a key role in mentoring staff, managing performance, ensuring technical accuracy, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and daily leadership to a team of adjusters handling a range of complex claims.Inspire and support your team to deliver empathetic, client-focused service aligned with organizational values.Foster an engaging, inclusive work environment that emphasizes learning, accountability, and professional growth.Ensure adherence to claims handling standards, best practices, and applicable legislation.Oversee the assessment, negotiation, and settlement of claims, including policy interpretation and reserve management.Authorize reserves and payments within an established financial authority (up to $1,000,000).Monitor and analyze performance metrics, leveraging data and technology to improve decision-making and efficiency.Recruit, coach, and develop team members to build depth, expertise, and future leadership capability.Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to enhance client service, operational processes, and claims strategies.About You
Minimum of 7 years of experience in claims, insurance operations, or a related field.Post-secondary education, with a CIP or FCIP designation (or working toward completion).Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop high-performing teams.Deep understanding of claims procedures, policy interpretation, and insurance regulations across provinces.Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities.A proactive, resilient leader who can manage change and foster collaboration in a dynamic environment.What’s Offered
