Associate Lawyer - Litigation & Aboriginal Law
Our client is the first and largest Indigenous-owned national law firm in Canada. Since 2002, they have been the leading advocate successfully advancing historic Treaty and Aboriginal rights claims against the federal government.
Our client is now seeking a talented and strategic Litigation Associate with 5–10 years of experience to join their Aboriginal Law litigation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in rights-based litigation, administrative tribunals, or regulatory hearings, along with a deep commitment to advancing Indigenous legal issues.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies in collaboration with both internal and external teams.
- Handle litigation cases in the Alberta Court of King’s Bench and the Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench.
- 5–10 years of litigation experience, particularly in Aboriginal or constitutional law.
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and advocacy abilities.
- Experience in professional responsibility matters is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the firm.
- Must be in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
- Relocation assistance, if applicable.
