We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Supply Chain Lead to drive the development and execution of supply chain strategies that align with organizational goals. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, innovation, resilience, and sustainability in our supply chain operations. Responsibilities include ensuring a seamless flow of materials, optimized supplier relationships, and support our mission of delivering top-quality custom manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to maintain operational continuity.
- Continual Process Improvement: Analyze and streamline supply chain processes for performance, to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and implement improvement plans as needed. Implement lean and sustainable practices to optimize supply chain operations. Stay abreast of industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices to drive innovation.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Lead efforts to integrate environmentally sustainable practices into the supply chain.
- Inventory & Logistics Optimization: Manage inventory levels to balance operational needs with cost efficiency. Streamline logistics processes to enhance on-time delivery and reduce lead times.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure supply chain alignment with project timelines and specifications. Support new product introduction (NPI) by aligning supply chain activities with development goals.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration. Promote alignment with MRO’s values of flexibility, accountability, and effective communication.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field;
- Experience: 3+ years experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Electronics manufacturing experience is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in aerospace supply chains is a plus.
- Proven track record of developing and executing supply chain strategies.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of lean and sustainable supply chain practices is a plus.
