Groundsperson
About the role:
Amrize Canada Inc., operating in Calgary, is currently seeking applications for an experienced full‑time seasonal Groundsperson to join our dynamic team. The Groundsperson will carry out scheduled ground maintenance work. In this role, you will report to the Aggregates Production Lead Hand and will work co‑operatively with the aggregates team.

What You’ll Accomplish- Perform several types of manual work
- Handle materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate automotive vehicles and small mobile equipment such as a skid steer when required
- Shovel spillage around conveyors
- Ensure the safety of company personnel, the community, and environment
- Seek out and implement Best Practices
- Create an atmosphere of teamwork and ensure the development of personnel and arbitrate to resolve conflicts
- Identify and communicate product problems and information
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Additional Requirements- Capable of working in an outdoor environment year round
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge in general maintenance work
- Able to lift 55 lbs
- Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
- Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays
- Able to work unsupervised
- Mechanically Inclined
- Ability to read survey markings.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
