About the Position

RWDI is seeking an accountable Instrumentation/Field Technician to join our Air Emissions Testing team at our Calgary office. The role offers adventure, travel, and the thrill of working at heights, while contributing to cutting‑edge emissions monitoring projects.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute technical aspects of air testing projects.
  • Travel to various locations, from urban centers to remote wilderness, to support projects.
  • Operate and troubleshoot equipment, both state‑of‑the‑art and conventional.
  • Work safely at heights (rooftops, towers, etc.) using state‑of‑the‑art gear and training.
  • Collect samples, consolidate data, and generate reports with support from technical teammates.
  • Collaborate with a close‑knit, fast‑paced team, celebrating successes and solving challenges together.
  • Engage in continuous learning—attending conferences, seminars, and training programs—to stay up‑to‑date with industry advancements.
Essential Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education in Environmental Technology or Instrumentation Technology.
  • Preferably, a minimum of one year of experience working in the Air Quality field.
  • Ambient monitoring experience is an asset.
  • Strong computer and analytical technical “hands‑on” skills.
  • Practical problem‑solving aptitude.
  • Field/site experience is a definite asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.
