Maintenance Assistant

Airswift is working with one of our major Oil and Gas clients to find a Mechanical Assistant to join their team in Calgary, AB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the maintenance team with daily tasks including inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs under the guidance of experienced maintenance staff.
• Assist in maintaining an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are organized and readily available.
• Help with the setup and breakdown of equipment for various operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area, ensuring all safety protocols and guidelines are followed.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop skills and knowledge in maintenance practices.
• Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.

The successful candidate needs to be well-organized, energetic, and service-oriented with the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interest in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in maintenance work.
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
• Previous experience in a maintenance or construction role is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in an industrial setting.
