Engineered Power is a market‑leading manufacturer of lithium metal battery cells primarily utilized in high‑vibration/shock environments. Engineered Power specializes in primary lithium thionyl chloride and lithium sulfuryl chloride chemistries and produces a variety of cylindrical form factors for use in the Energy Sector and other specialized markets.

The Quality Control Manager is a hands‑on, problem‑solving manager responsible for the quality control department. The Quality Control Manager works closely with Engineering, New Product Introduction, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to drive continuous quality improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Quality Systems as they pertain to cell assembly in a high‑volume, high‑product‑mix capacity or an equivalent industry.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
  • Experience launching, managing, and certifying a manufacturing facility ISO Quality System
  • Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
  • Managing internal audits of processes
  • Manage customer RMA’s
  • Manage and qualify approved suppliers
  • Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products
  • Training and managing production line staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods
  • Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct
  • Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards
  • Eliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problems
  • Perform other duties outside their scope of work as assigned and required
Qualifications
  • B.S. in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical team members effectively
  • Self‑motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience in new product introduction launches
  • Experience setting up and maintaining Quality Systems
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage large teams
  • Ability to adapt to and make decisions based on manufacturing data
  • Min. 5 yrs. Experience in a mix of engineering and production environments
  • Strong Microsoft Office application skills, including Excel
  • Experience with high volume and high product mix environment
