Director of Fund Development (Volunteer)

This is a volunteer role; no remuneration will be paid. The Director of Fund Development is responsible for generating financial support to sustain and grow the association’s programs, events, and initiatives. This role involves developing fundraising strategies, organizing campaigns, and assisting in the securing of partnerships and sponsor ships to achieve revenue goals. With the help of the Fundraising Committee, the Director works with key roles across the association, including the Directors of Programs, Events, Development and Communications, to align fundraising efforts with community needs and promote campaigns effectively.

By managing various fundraising channels, the Director ensures resources are available to enhance the community’s offerings and services.

This role is ideal for a goal‑oriented, innovative individual with strong networking skills who is passionate about supporting community growth and adept at developing creative approaches to fundraising.

• Managing Advisors working under this portfolio – 1. Sponsor ships, 2. Partnerships, 3. Grants and 4. Fundraising.
• Finalizing Annual Sponsorship Package and get it approved by Board in the last Board meeting of the year.
• Finalizing formats for Sponsor ships and partnership agreements and get them approved by Board in the last Board meeting of the year.
• Execution of Fund Development and activities.
• Fund Development Budget adherence.
• Creation of a Fund Development plan.
• Proper maintenance of Sponsorship Packages.
• Healthy Partnerships.

• Supporting Advisors in the accomplishment of their tasks.
• Researching and applying for available grants.
• Organizing Fund Development events aligned with the CLCA’s priorities and projects.
• Preparing, tracking and adhering to the Fund Development budget.
• Preparing, tracking and adhering to the Fund Development plan.
• Maintaining open communication channels with all directors to facilitate the identification of applicable grants.
• Preparing Sponsorship Packages for Directors to use when seeking sponsor ships.
• Coordinating sponsorship seeking efforts with other Directors.
• Providing the Board with updates on the Fund Development Plan.
