On-Call Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Calgary AB

Location: Calgary, AB

Employment Type: On-Call | Contract (3 months, with extension option)

Position Overview: We are currently seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for on‑call coverage in Long‑Term Care (LTC) facilities across Calgary. This role is ideal for dependable LPNs who are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, facility‑based care environment and can pick up day, evening, and night shifts as needed. Candidates must have hands‑on experience in Canada for a minimum of 2 years.

• Minimum 2 years of experience working as an LPN
• Valid Canadian work permit or Canadian citizenship
• Able to work on‑call across varied shifts (days, evenings, nights)

• Active LPN Registration
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta
• First Aid Certification
  • Valid and current
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Valid and current
  • Note:
    
    Contractors must hold both First Aid and BLS
• Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Issued within the last 2 years
• Criminal Background Check
  • Issued within the last 2 years
• Immunization Records
  • Tuberculosis (TB)
  • Influenza (Flu Shot)
  • Candidates who decline the flu shot must agree to Tamiflu treatment in the event of a flu outbreak at the facility

• Contract Length: 3 months, with the option to extend
• Contractors may request removal from the contract at any time

• On‑call coverage
• Day, Evening, and Night shifts

• $33/hour – T4 employment
• $38/hour – Incorporated or Sole Proprietor contractor
