Quality Assurance; QA​/Quality Control; QC Specialist

Hiring Locations:
Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Texas, Eagle Ford & Marcellus.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, performance, and security of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for both frontend and backend systems, collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for frontend (React) and backend (Spring Boot) applications.
• Plan and execute comprehensive test strategies including functional, performance, load, and security testing.
• Support in the configuration and management of CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins.
• Develop and implement QA policies and procedures in collaboration with department leads.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, REST‑Assured, Swagger, and Karate DSL.
• Perform database validation and manipulation using Postgre
  
  SQL and Mongo
  
  DB.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects.
• Ensure mobile and cross‑platform compatibility through rigorous testing.
• Maintain version control using Git and ensure code quality through peer reviews and automated checks.

• Backend: Selenium, Mockito, Spring Test, Test Rest Template , JUnit
• API Testing: Postman, REST‑Assured, Swagger, JMeter, SoapUI, Karate DSL (Gherkin)
• Performance & Load Testing: JMeter, Load Runner (optional)

• Familiarity with Gherkin syntax for BDD
• Strong understanding of JSON and XML formats

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Kubernetes Services (AKS)
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions
• Familiarity with Mongo
  
  DB Query Language (MQL)

• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Detail‑oriented with a passion for quality

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in QA/QC
• ISTQB or similar QA certification is a plus
