• Lead Quality Control Inspectors team
• Coach, develop and empower the QC Inspectors team to ensure Sobeys produce specifications and Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to
• Deliver against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success based on QC targets

• Implement and monitor compliance with Standard Operating Procedures
• Resolve conflicts between QC, Replenishment, Category Management and RSC
• Collaborate with Replenishment and inventory staff on product quality, performance of vendors issue temporary specification adjustments
• Collaborate with sourcing and/or category management on rejection and overturn requests
• Oversee store credit process
• Oversee and coordinate ripening programs and train QC employees on the ripening process
• Assist in development or revision of produce specifications and Standard Operating Procedures
• Provide product quality feedback to sourcing and category management
• Collaborate with QC field, RSC teams and vendors and sourcing on improving product quality and vendor performance
• Collaborate with Quality Control, Buying and Sourcing teams to implement quality initiatives
• Participate in vendor quality improvement meetings (as required)
• Develop action plans to drive improved vendor performance
• Oversee and monitor reporting on inventory quality to Replenishment

• Ability to determine colors
• Proficient in the use of appropriate QC equipment
• Familiar with USDA and CFIA requirements
• 6-10 year’s experience in Produce Quality Control
