Quality Inspector

Position Description

Supported by a network of independent sales agents across North America, SSM operates two production facilities within the Calgary area.

To support its growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add a Quality Inspector to the team.

• Perform assessments on incoming materials.
• Review plans, schedules, blueprints, and specifications to understand the design requirements of products.
• Ensure that procedures are set to achieve quality standards.
• Perform detailed final inspections of products prior to shipment, including the documentation and reporting on non‑conformances. Ensure final products meet all engineering standards.
• Document inspection findings and complete reports and performance records.
• Ensure quality control and technical standards are adhered to and performance metrics are met.
• Educate the production team on quality control processes, concerns, and standards of product quality.

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to apply sound knowledge and best practices of quality principles.
• Dedication to continuous improvement.
• Proficient problem solving and critical decision‑making skills.
• Experience in a metal fabrication facility will be considered an asset.
