Reporting

The Quality Assurance Inspector reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Performance Indicators /

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Complete internal audits as required to maintain the Avmax Quality Assurance program.
  • Review and maintain supplier self-audits and maintain the company’s vendor/supplier list.
  • Complete customer self-audits and maintain customer files.
  • Follow up on internal audit findings.
  • Conduct investigations as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Licensed TCCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) preferred.
  • Relevant education, experience, and knowledge of aviation regulations and quality control procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of the requirements outlined in the AS9100D standard preferred.
  • Strong foundational aircraft knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite & ERP Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate employees.
Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of practical experience in an aviation environment, particularly in quality assurance or inspection roles, is essential.
  • Proficiency in conducting audits, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), especially those related to airworthiness and maintenance, is crucial.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management System (QMS) principles, including document control, process control, and continuous improvement is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with other individuals throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrated capability and competency in the field of expertise.
