Associate, Research – Power & Renewables

As an Associate on our Power & Renewables Intelligence team, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of analysts, engineers, economists, data scientists, developers, and others in producing research for institutional investors and corporate clients. You will both enhance our technology platform and use it to interact directly with clients to answer some of the hardest questions facing industry and investors today.
PerformanceObjectives
- Autonomous Client Management:
Take ownership of incoming client inquiries and routine research requests, serving as a primary point of contact to significantly reduce senior team workload and increase overall team bandwidth. - Client Engagements:
Independently lead conference calls and presentations with corporate strategy teams and institutional investors, articulating thesis work on the intricacies of power markets and all the factors influencing power prices with confidence and authority. - Power Modelling:
Design, update, maintain and improve proprietary research models critical for formulating opinions on the future state of power markets and power assets, including our outlooks on all elements critical for modelling power markets. These models support research publications and are integrated with Enverus’ proprietary technology platform, Enverus Prism™. - Data Analysis:
Aggregate and analyze large data sets to identify trends, characterize opportunities, build forecasts, and generate opinions on market activity, assets and companies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong attention to detail, with a strong work ethic.
- Proven ability to analyze and concisely articulate complex ideas through writing and verbal presentations to a wide range of audiences.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field with an outstanding record of academic achievement and demonstrated aptitude for analytics.
- Deep understanding of power markets is critical to this role.
- Experience modelling power systems is a plus.
- Experience using Python or advanced Excel skills is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize actionable analysis from large, dynamic data sets.
- Ambition to work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team of subject matter experts with a steep learning curve and commitment to career development.
- Self‑motivated with a strong desire to develop a deep understanding of power markets and the technologies and companies driving the energy transition, becoming the leading expert in this field.
