Retail Associate, Prince of Wales Hotel

This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2026, it will be a full time seasonal role.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet guests in a welcoming and enthusiastic manner
Acts as an ambassador of the Hotel and the National Park offering guests information about hotel history, available services, points of interest in the surrounding area, and entertainment options
Engage guests - assist with selection and advice in choosing products
Maintains store and storage areas organization, cleanliness, and stock
Complete daily cleaning and inventory to ensure smooth opening and close of retail space including Princess Cafe equipment and supplies
Make and serve guests hot or iced coffee, tea, lattes etc. in our Princess Cafe
Keeps record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicates details to supervisor
Handle cash and credit transactions making nightly deposits
Help maintain inventory and up to date product availability
Listen to guest concerns and resolve issues to the best of your ability
Assist guests and teammates where needed
Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties
Performs other duties as requested by management

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Work ethic and commitment to teammates and guests
Retail experience preferred
Willing and able to work alone or as part of a larger team
An active listener and the ability to tell stories to guests
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks at once
Ability to anticipate guest needs
Calm demeanor with conflict resolution skills
Motivated, energetic, and professional
Physically able to complete the duties required
Organized with a great eye for detail
Kind to others and always bring your best
A good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions
Helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile

The starting wage for this role is $18.00/hour.
