Position Summary

The Relief Workers within Enviros provide support and safety to the clients within each program, working with up to 10 young people (males and females) at any given time. The Relief Worker is responsible for behavior management as per each program requirements and follow-through on pertinent issues (client and program related). Other expectations of this role may include modelling of professional behaviours, maintaining support for the program service plans, and providing programming and support for daily living tasks and activities.

Accountabilities
  • Direct Client Care
  • Provide constant and ongoing supervision of the clients in the program.
  • Establish positive relationships with the clients.
  • Complete daily requirements with each client within the program – including, though not limited to, chores, recreational activities, decision‑making, problem‑solving, educational support, wilderness programming and client advocacy.
  • Household duties as required.
Documentation

Complete Daily Documentation, Including

  • Daily notes on each client.
  • Staff communication notes.
  • Medication.
  • Incident reports as required.
  • Completion of the Relief Feedback Forms with the employee with whom they are working.
  • Enviros Community Support participation in staff meetings and additional training.
Reporting Relationships

Report to the Program Supervisor or the full‑time staff on shift for the program that they are working in.
